A Lady Submits

Welcome!

After weeks of studying and being confronted with this idea time after time. I wanted share this new thought process with you!

What is a woman of God?

Someone who is submitted
  • Accepts or yields to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person.

Someone who is surrendered

·Cease resistance to an enemy or opponent & submit to their authority

 A) Who are we supposed to submit to?

·         Submit yourselves one to another Ephesians 5:21 (Our friends, fellow Christians)
Ephesians 5:24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives should be subject to their husbands in everything [respecting both their position as protector and their responsibility to God as head of the house].
·        Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husband as you do to the Lord (Husband & Christ)

·          James 4:7Submit yourselves then to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

B) Why is surrendering or submitting negative or considered hard?

·         It’s seen as weak [False]
·         It means you’re not strong (enough) [False]
·         Makes you feel small [False]

What does God say about submission?

·         Job 22:21- Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.
·         Proverbs  3:6 – In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight
·         Ephesians 5:22- Wives be subject(submit) to your own husbands, as [a service] to the Lord.

God says, you find peace in him when you submit. He says propersity and straight paths are for you. Is your own personal will which is ever changing, if we tell the truth, really worth the opposite of what he promises us.

Are you submitted? Have you surrendered your will in everything?

Romans 12:1- So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life-your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life- and place it before God as an offering.

Just as a man can not effectly build with a woman who will not follow neither can christ with people who won't follow. The choice is ours, will we be women and christians who submit, surrender and have peace with the lord ....

I want to end with a few questions that I hope make you think? Feel free to comment your answers below!

Who/What are you already submitted to?

What have you let the devil have reign over in your life? (what have you not resisted)
What has authority in your life? (what drives you that shouldn't)

Moving Forward, how are you going to refocus your submission?
